New movie for Matt Berry

Starring with Flight Of The Conchords' Jemaine Clement

Matt Berry and Flight Of The Conchords star Jemaine Clement have signed up to star in a new independent comedy movie called An Evening With Beverly Luff Lin.

The story follows Lulu Danger, whose unsatisfying marriage takes a fortunate turn for the worse when a mysterious man from her past comes to town to perform the mysterious event of the film’s title.

Also in the cast are Aubrey Plaza, who played April in Parks and Recreation, Lone Survivor star Emile Hirsch and Craig Robinson, who was Darryl Philbin on the American version of The Office

The film is being directed by Jim Hosking, who helmed last year’s horror-comedy film The Greasy Strangle. He co-wrote the script with actor David Wike.

Mary Burke from the BFI, which is funding the movie with Film 4 and others, said: ‘After the success of The Greasy Strangler we are proud to continue to support Jim Hosking as a left-field, break-out British comedy talent.’
