Taskmaster given two more series
The Dave channel has ordered two more series of Taskmaster.
Hosts Greg Davies and Alex Horne have been confirmed for the 16 new hour-long episodes, although the line-up of comedians taking the challenges has yet to be revealed.
The news comes the day before series three kicks off with Al Murray, Dave Gorman, Sara Pascoe, Paul Chowdhry and Rob Beckett.
Alex Horne, who created the series and serves as Taskmaster Davies’s sidekick in the show, said: ‘The Taskmaster has even bought me a caravan so this time I will be constantly on site to watch the desperate attempts and report back, before he ignores me and judges them.’
Hilary Rosen, who commissioned the show for UKTV, from Avalon Television added: ‘Greg and Alex are growing into an irresistible double act and it’s a joy to watch the tasks unfold on each of the series. I’m thrilled to commission not just one, but two new series for the channel and look forward to getting our next contestants lined up.’
The new episodes will air next year.
