Josh Widdicombe enters the Crystal Maze
JOSH WIDDICOMBE is to be one of the contestants in the revived Crystal Maze when Stephen Merchant hosts the one-off special for Channel 4’s Stand Up For Cancer campaign next month. The other contestants are former footballer Rio Ferdinand, Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan, Paralympics champ Jonnie Peacock and broadcaster Sara Cox. The game show has been off air for 21 years, but revived following the success of a live ‘experience’ in London.
VIKKI STONE is to appear in pantomime again. The musical comic has been cast as the wizard Abanazer in The Lyric Hammersmith’s festive production of Aladdin from November 9 to January 7. Last year she played Fairy Bowel in Dick Whittington at Shrewsbury’s Theatre Severn.
MUSICAL comedian Harriet Braine won the Funny Women stage award at Koko in Camden last night, ahead of fellow finalists Catherine Bohart, Rosie Jones, Micky Overman, Rose Robinson and Rivka Uttley. Carolyn Goodyear won the short video award and Carol Walsh the writing award, all worth £2,000.
JOE LYCETT is to release his first DVD. His tour show That’s The Way, A-Ha A-Ha, Joe Lycett will be distributed by Universal Pictures from November 28. Preorder.
