Finding Your Feet is set around dance classes

Timothy Spall, Celia Imrie, Joanna Lumley and Imelda Staunton are to star in a new British rom-com aimed at older audiences.

Finding Your Feet is set around a London dance class, and aims to tap into the spending power of the older generation, dubbed the ‘silver pound’.

The plot revolves around a rather restrained woman, Sandra, coming to live with her more free-spirited sister, Bif, after discovering that her husband of 40 years is having an affair.  Sandra tags along to her sibling’s dance class where gradually she starts finding her feet – and romance.

The film, which starts shooting in Twickenham Studios and  in Rome also stars David Hayman. It is being directed by Richard Loncraine, whose credits include Wimbledon

Writers are Meg Leonard, making her debut, and Nick Moorcroft, who penned the St. Trinian’s films.
