Caitlin Jenner joins Transparent
Caitlyn Jenner is joining the cast of comedy series Transparent.
Show creator Jill Soloway did not reveal what role Jenner would play in the Amazon show, but said she would start filming next week.
Jenner will identify with the plight of Jeffrey Tambor's lead character Maura Pfefferman – as she came out as transsexual after being known as the father and step-father of six children, including Kim Kardashian.
Soloway broke the news at last night's GLAAD Media Awards, which celebrates LGBT achievements, in Beverly Hills.
At the ceremony, Jenner's I Am Cait won the gong for Outstanding Reality Show, with Transparent picking up the award for Best Comedy Series.
The third series of Transparent is due to launch later this year.
