Some more Very British Problems
Channel 4 has ordered a second series of Very British Problems – plus a Christmas special.
Commissioning editor Rich Evans has ordered three new hour-long shows, expected to air next year, as well as the festive edition. Again the format involves celebrities offering their own examples of quintessentially British behaviour.
The recommission follows the first series in summer this year, which attracted a respectable 1.5million viewers for Channel 4, based on overnight figures.
Chris Fouracre, managing director of programme-makers Alaska TV, said: 'It's brilliant to have been re-commissioned by the Channel so soon after transmission of Series 1. It's a real treat to discover how universally bonkers we all through the experiences of such a funny line up of amazing British talent. Most of them are coming back for the new Series plus some genuinely great new names'
Evans added: 'Alaska did a brilliant job of booking a dream line-up and turning around a thoroughly delightful series that viewers loved in double-quick time, so this is a well-deserved recommission.'
Contributors to the first series included James Corden, Jonathan Ross and Vic Reeves.
