JIMMY CARR is to get a £9.5million payday by winding down his company F. N. Good, the Sun has reported. The company made £4million profit in its last 13 months of trading. He will, of course, have to pay tax on the earnings.

THE LAST LEG star Alex Brooker is making six three-minute shorts for Channel 4, funded by disability charity Scope. They will be available on All 4 from early August and demonstrate how not to behave around disabled people in everyday situations including a blind date, a job interview and at the hairdressers.

THE John Bishop Show attracted three million viewers on Saturday night – below the channel’s slot average of 4.1million but still more than any other programme at 9.45pm on the night.

BARACK OBAMA will be the guest on The Daily Show tonight as Jon Stewart prepares to step down. It will be the President's seventh appearance on the show and his first since 2012, when he was running for re-election. Stewart's final broadcast will be on August 6, with Trevor Noah taking over the following month
