Russell Brand joins Bin Laden comedy

Directed by Borat's Larry Charles

Russell Brand is to appear in a new comedy movie about one Man search for Osama Bin Laden.

Director Larry Charles has cast him in his forthcoming film Army Of One, alongside Nicolas Cage.

The film is loosely based on Gary Faulkner, a Colorado construction worker who took it upon himself to try to track down the world’s most wanted terrorist without any special skills. The ex-con crossed the Pakistan-Afghanistan border several times in his quest, armed with only a sword.

It is not yet known what role Brand will play, but Cage is the lead.

Denis O’Hare, Ken Marino, Paul Scheer, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Rainn Wilson have also been cast in the movie, Hollywood trade paper Variety reports.

Charles’s credits include Borat, Bruno, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Seinfeld.
