New radio comedy for Des Clarke
Des Clarke is to star in his own six-part BBC Radio Scotland comedy series, Des Clarke Exposed, starting at 1.30pm on May 1. The comic and host of Capital Radio's breakfast show in Scotland has also announced his first stand-up tour in five years, with 11 Scottish dates between Glasgow on March 28 and Dunkeld a couple of months later. NOEL FIELDING and Jon Richardson have joined the the bill for the Teenage Cancer Trust’s night of comedy at the Royal Albert Hall, it has been announced. They will perform alongside headliner Kevin Bridges at the March 24 fundraiser – marking Fielding’s fifth performance for the charity.
AMERICAN network TBS has ordered a sitcom from The Daily Show’s correspondents Jason Jones and Samantha Bee. They have been given the go-ahead for ten episodes as the as-yet untitled series, based on their married life. Jones announced on Twitter that he'll be leaving The Daily Show to work on the new show.
