Edinburgh hit leads Chortle Award nominations

Cult Edinburgh hit Funz And Games leads this year’s Chortle Award shortlist, with a total of four nominations.

The show has been nominated in categories for best show, innovation and best sketch/character act - while frontman Phil Ellis is up for the breakthrough award.

Many comics have two nominations, including Bridget Christie, James Acaster, Luisa Omielan Nish Kumar, Katherine Ryan, Gein’s Family Gift Shop, Steen Raskopoulos, John Robins, Nick Helm (counting Uncle) and Kim Noble.

Voting opens at 9am tomorrow (Wednesday February 18). Details of the ceremony will be announced soon.
