Sue Perkins joins Game Of Thrones
SUE PERKINS is to host Sky Atlantic's Thronecast, the companion show to Game Of Thrones when the fifth series premieres on the channel in April. Featuring a panel of cast, crew and fans, the show will air live after each episode and be shot in front of a live studio audience.
LOUIE and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver scooped awards at the Writers Guild of America Awards on Saturday night. Oliver's topical HBO show won the comedy/variety category, while Louis CK's sitcom won best comedy as well as the best comedy episode. The Simpsons episode Brick Like Me won the animation award.
BBC ASIAN Network is hosting another of its Big Comedy Nights. A new episode will be recorded for radio at the Library of Birmingham on March 7. Hosted by Tommy Sandhu, the evening will feature Adil Ray as his self-appointed Muslim community leader Mr Khan, Canada's Jus Reign, Saad Haroon, Mobeen aka Guzzy Bear and Sadia Azmat. BASIL BRUSH is moving into the digital age with his first sketch show, set to launch later today. The 32-part series will launch on the wisecracking fox's official YouTube channel , with a new episode every day this week followed by a weekly episode in subsequent weeks. The show is part of online operator Videojug Network's new comedy channel Quipstar.
