Daniel Kitson's play Tree has extended its run at London's Old Vic for a week. The initial run of the two-hander, also starring Tim Key, has all-but sold out, leading to today’s announcement of additional shows every night from February 16 to 22. Tickets are available here and our review is here.
HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU producers Hat Trick are developing a possible new TV show with Katherine Ryan. The comedian will look at the weekly goings-on in the world of celebrity in the programme, which is being trialled in front of a live audience in London next month and co-hosted by Edinburgh best newcomer nominee Dane Baptiste. No broadcaster is yet involved.
ROBERT NEWMAN is to return to Radio 4 with a show about evolution. The Great Ape's Guide To Evolution will also feature Dame Jenni Murray as the voice of an encyclopaedia as the comedian challenges some of the assumptions of natural selection – the subject of the stand-up show he has been touring for the past 18 months.
RUFUS HOUND is to try his hand at magic in the second episode of ITV's celebrity talent show Get Your Act Together. He will be mentored by magician Jamie Allen of rate second episode of the series, which airs on Sunday. Comedy ventriloquist Paul Zerdin is also taking part in the show, mentoring actor Nigel Havers.
PAKISTANI comedian Sami Shah – who performed the first ever solo English language stand-up show in his home country – is coming to the UK.
