JAMES CORDEN is to begin his new job as a US talk show host on March 9. The CBS has announced that will be the date he starts on The Late Late Show, taking over from Scottish-born Craig Ferguson. A NEW YORK street was yesterday renamed in honour of George Carlin. The 400 block of West 121st Street and Amsterdam Avenue officially is now officially known as George Carlin Way. It is actually one block away from the planned site to mark where he grew up and went to school – because of opposition from a church there.
AUSTRALIA's biggest TV awards, The Logies, is to have a comedy category for the first time in five years. Emma Nolan, editor of organisers TV Week, said: 'The standard of Australian comedies has been outstanding in 2014 –and we felt that shows in that genre deserved to be judged up against each other in their own category.'
