Miranda to release scripts book
Miranda Hart us to release a book of scripts from her BBC One sitcom.
The Best Of Miranda will be released in time for Christmas, and follows her 2012 bestseller Is It Just Me?, which took more than £1million in hardback alone.
Published by Hodder & Stoughton, the book features full scripts for six Miranda along with her revisions and annotations, as well as behind the scenes photographs and material that never made it to air.
It had previously been announced that Hart was to follow up Is It Just Me? with Peggy And Me, about the comedian’s day-to-day life with her dog. That has been due out this year, but there is now no sign of that release.
Hart has recorded a video to promote The Best Of Miranda, which is out on October 23.
In it, she says: 'It has been five whole years since Miranda, m'sitcom, first aired on BBC Two. I know, can you believe it? what a whirlwind it's been...
'I have collated all the three series in what I'm calling a Book O'Scripts. And I'm calling it – wait for it, this is funny – The Best Of Miranda. Thank you.
'What it has in it is my favourite scripts. I also have some introductions that I've written to each script and some general silliness and unseen rehearsal notelets, and some silly titbits, because a book like this should have titbits in it, shouldn't it? Because if nothing else it's fun to say titbits.'
• The hardback will be priced £20, but click here to preorder from Foyles at £15.20.
