From Summer Heights High to snowboarding
Summer Heights High creator Chris Lilley is working one a new mockumentary about the snowboarding culture.
The comic is collaborating with David Thorne, an Australian blogger known for spoof letters and emails, for the one-off show Cold Feet: America's Bunny Slopes.
Thorne told the Sydney Morning Herald: 'It’s a one-hour mockumentary about two individuals who embrace the snowboarding culture to the fullest extent but do not know how to snowboard.'
'Chris and I first met a couple of years ago at a function and share a similar sense of humour. In his words, "We're like peas in a pod. Except I'm talented and famous".'
Cold Feet will air in Australia and Britain in September.
Thorne has also secured an eight-part HBO series and a one-off snowboarding mockumentary with Chris Lilley.
The show will be be named after his blog 27b/6 and is pitched as a cross between The Office and Eastbound & Down. Arrested Development writer Jim Vallely is also working on the show.
Filming starts in September, with the show expected to air in February.
Thorne became an internet hit in 2008 when he attempted to pay an overdue bill with a drawing of a spider. His viral popularity spawned a bestselling book, The Internet Is A Playground.
