Community could return
AMERICAN sitcom Community could be revived. Hollywood trade website Deadline reports that preliminary but non-committal conversations have been held between video-on-demand service Hulu and creator Dan Harmon after the series was axed by NBC earlier this month.
TAMSIN GRIEG has made a short film for the Tate gallery discussing humour in art. She discusses how artists including Duchamp, Magritte and Gilbert & George employ wit in their work in the last in a series of Unlock Art films, which kicked off with Frank Skinner discussing performance art back in September. KEVIN ELDON is to appear opposed Elijah Wood in a new black-and-white film about Dylan Thomas. Set Fire To The Stars has its world premiere at the Edinburgh International Film Festival next month, and is about the a week in the life of the poet as he prepares for a series of performed readings in the US in the 1950s. Celyn Jones plays Thomas and Wood is fellow poet John Malcolm Brinnin.
TIM VINE and Joe Wilkinson are to appear on the new ITV revival of Celebrity Squares, to be presented by Warwick Davis.
RICHARD AYOADE, Ben Bailey Smith (aka rapper comedian Doc Brown), Emma Kennedy, Jon Thomson and Caroline Aherne feature in a new 3D adventure game based on the CBBC series they voice, Strange Hill High. The Merchant Of Menace: The Lost Episode was launched online yesterday ahead of an iOS and Android launch in July. The TV comedy’s lead writer is former Simpsons and Futurama showrunner Josh Weinstein.
