Justin Moorhouse is to be the voice of Vimto fizzy drink. The stand-up will play an animated toad in a £6.5million campaign which starts on April 26. Vimtoad wears an Hawaiian shirt and has been designed by Wallace & Gormit creators Aardman Animations.

MATT LACEY, the comedian who created the viral sketch Gap Yah as seem by 5million YouTube viewers, has landed a major role in the second series of BBC Three's Cuckoo. He plays the love rival to Twilight's Taylor Lautner, who has taken over the male lead from Andy Sandberg.

TODD BARRY's new stand-up show has been released via Louis CK's website – the first video produced by CK for another comedian. Todd Barry: The Crowd Work Tour features the dour American only chatting with audiences across the US, rather than doing any prepared material. As with everything on CK's site it is priced $5, and it's available here

HE MIGHT have bombed at the Hammersmith Apollo earlier this month, but Russell Peters is to judge other stand-ups on the next series of American talent hunt Last Comic Standing. He joins Roseanne Barr and Keenen Ivory Wayans when the show returns to NBC on May 22. J.B. Smoove will host.

FEMALE 'comedy brand' What The Frock! has won the customer service award at the NatWest Venus Award honouring businesswomen in Bristol and Somerset. The category was decided by public vote.
