AMERICAN stand-up David Brenner, who appeared more than 150 times on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, died on Saturday in New York at the age of 78. Brenner had been battling cancer, but was performing as recently New Year's Eve. His publicist Jeff Abraham said. Brenner's final resting spot will carry the epitaph: ‘If this is supposed to be a joke - then I don't get it!’. Here he is in action:

JACK WHITEHALL, Patrick Kielty, John Bishop and Paddy McGuinness are among the celebrities taking part in this year’s Soccer Aid event for UNICEF. The brainchild of Robbie Williams, the sporting challenge takes place on Sunday June 8 at Old Trafford and will broadcast live on ITV. Other stars taking part include Damian Lewis, Olly Murs, Matt Smith and Gordon Ramsay as well as soccer aces such as Jamie Redknapp, Jamie Carragher, Paul Ince, David Seaman and Teddy Sheringham.
