Alfie Moore's show to air this summer

Policeman-turned-stand-up Alfie Moore has landed his own Radio 4 series.

Three episodes of the show – provisionally titled Alfie Moore: It's a Fair Cop – will be recorded in London in May and June. They are expected to air around August.

The programme is based on Moore’s experiences on the beat, with dilemmas that require audience participation to resolve. The commission follows a successful pilot recorded last year.

Moore said: ‘I’m thrilled that the series has been commissioned. Hopefully this is an opportunity to build some bridges between the police and the people of London.

‘Tory MPs are welcome at the live recordings but are advised to dismount from their cycles and use the side gates.’

Moore previously appeared on the ITV1 stand-up reality show Show Me The Funny and in 2011 made Alfie Moore’s Almanac for BBC Radio Lincolnshire.
