America raids another Britcom
A one-off comedy that aired as part of Sky Living's Love Matters stand is to be adapted into a sitcom in the States.
The NBC network has ordered a script based on 30 And Counting, which starred Daniel Lawrence Taylor, Brett Goldstein, Dan Clark and Jess Ransom.
The original was written by Chris Little and Tom Vinnicombe, whose other credits include A League Of Their Own and 10 O'Clock Live and revolved around a group of 30-year-old college friends who decide the next decade will define them.
At the time, Time Out said the show – made by Bwark, the producers of The Inbetweeners – was 'a little broad and uneven, but a couple of virtuoso set-pieces really impress'.
Hollywood website Deadline reports that Justin Adler, who previously worked on the US sitcom Better Off Ted, is writing the adaptation.
Bwark are one of the producers of the planned remake too.
