Sam and Dave: UK airing for Simmons' show
DAVE is to show Sam Simmons' short-lived Australian TV series, Problems. The absurdist made four episodes of the show in 2012, also featuring the likes of David Quirk, Claudia O’Doherty and Ronny Chieng, and it will start on the Freeview channel on December 4 at 10.40pm.
STEWART LEE and some of the comedians he curated for Comedy Central's Alternative Comedy Experience are doing a DVD signing for the first series, which is released next week. They will be at Fopp in Covent Garden from 5pm on Monday.
STAND-UP Rob Deering has put together a gig in support of the Philippine typhoon relief efforts at very short notice. Laughter After The Disaster is at London's Bloomsbury Theatre on November 24, and features Chris Addison, John Bishop, Simon Evans and many more. Tickets.
THE British Fox channel has brought the rights to Mob City, the period gangster drama in which Simon Pegg plays a struggling American stand-up. The station has also signed a deal to air the 11th season of Family Guy (which has previously aired on BBC Three) and the fourth and final series of The Cleveland Show. All are set to air in January.
DAVID WALLIAMS is to host this year's British Fashion Awards, which will take place on December 2 at the London Coliseum.
