'Inappropriate' episode set in Philipines

Sky1 has pulled an episode of Karl Pilkington’s travel series The Moaning of Life following the Philippines tornado.

The final episode of the current series had been due to air this Monday, but said it would be 'inappropriate' after Typhoon Haiyan claimed at least 2,340 lives - with the death toll due to rise.

The show, entitled Death, includes segments in which the reluctant Pilkington travelled to the Philippines to see how they grieve.

The channel issued a statement saying: 'In light of the recent tragic events we felt that it would be inappropriate to transmit the show at this time.

'In its place, we will be giving you another chance to see the first episode of the series.'

The broadcaster has yet to confirm when the final episode in the series – which attracts around a million viewers – will air,
