Tommy Tiernan announces London dates
TOMMY TIERNAN has announced a two-week run of intimate gigs at London's Soho Theatre in the new year. The acclaimed Irish comic will be performing his show Stray Sod, about how we have lost our 'inner lunacy' from January 20.
MILTON JONES has signed an endorsement deal that gives him a £45,000 car for his current On The Road tour. He has taken delivery of a Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0 V6 CRD Overland 4×4 and gushed about its capabilities in a press release, saying: 'We were travelling in heavy wind and rain recently, but the car felt steady and sure-footed on the road.'
ROSS NOBLE has announced a tour for autumn 2014, timing the news to coincide with his new Dave show Freewheeling. The comic will be back on the road from October next year with a show called Tangentleman. Dates. Tickets go on sale on November 8.
THE PUBLIC vote has opened for the last place in the BBC New Comedy Award semi-finals. Vying for the wildcard place are Dane Baptiste, Colin Chadwick, Dave Green, Sofie Hagen, Jake Lambert, Daryl Perry, Tom Toal and Richard Todd. Meanwhile, heat runners-up Steve Bugeja and Katherine Bennett have been automatically put through to the semis by the judges, BBC executive producer Alison Vernon-Smith and Chortle editor Steve Bennett.
