Baddiel back on the road
DAVID BADDIEL is to tour a solo stand-up show for the first time in 15 years. He will take his comeback show Fame: Not The Musical on the road for 15 dates in early 2014, following a four-night run at London’s Southbank Centre from later this month. Click here for the schedule.
COMEDY CENTRAL is to air the last episodes of the US version of The Office after signing a deal for seasons eight and nine. The digital channel will start airing episodes from 2011‘s season eight next week, with head of acquisitions Brad Wood saying: ‘The Office is a staple in Comedy Central UK’s schedule with a consistently solid viewer-base.’ The last ever episode aired on NBC in May.

THE funeral of Scotland The What? comedian George Donald has been held in Huntly, Aberdeenshire, today. He died on September 30 at the age of 79.
AL MURRAY has paid a visit to injured troops at the Headley Court rehabilitation centre in Surrey. He performed a stand-up show on Wednesday night then stayed to chat to patients and staff. Angie Avlianos, entertainment manager for Combined Services Entertainment, who organised the visit, said: 'It's fantastic to see the boost in morale a visit from a high profile act like Al Murray can bring. Everyone was beaming after the visit.’
