Mangan and Enfield star as film-makers

Harry Enfield and Stephen Mangan are to star in a new Comic Strip film entitled It Ends Badly.

The troupe’s founder, Peter Richardson, has revealed that the film will be shot next spring and wants ‘a lot of new people’ to take part.

He gave more details of the plot in an interview with the Digital Spy website, saying: ‘It's about two absolute scoundrels, two rotten scoundrels really, Harry and Steve, who are trying to a make a chick-flick.

‘They've taken all the money to pay for their mistresses and their drug habits and school fees and everything else... It's 90 minutes of chaos really.’

Richardson was speaking to mark the release of new DVD collection The Comic Strip Presents: The Best Of, which was released on Monday containing 16 classic episodes plus three more recent ones: The Hunt for Tony Blair, Five Go to Rehab, …Sex Actually and the documentary 30 Years of Comic Strip.
