Now here's a funny story...
TV channel Dave has commissioned a new comedy storytelling show featuring Jack Dee and Harry Enfield.
Each 40-minute episode of Crackanory will feature two celebrities telling a tale, which will be played out with actors and animation, as well as the narration.
Also due to appear are comedy actor Sally Phillips and Top Gear’s Richard Hammond, with other names yet to be announced.
Production company Tiger Aspect are to make six episodes to air in the winter, Dave announced at the Edinburgh International Television Festival.
The channel’s general manager, Steve North, said Crackanory would feature ‘weird and wonderful tales delivered by the funniest people on television’.
He added: ‘The art of storytelling is far from dead; in fact Dave’s bringing it back bigger and better.’
The channel has recently commissioned Ross Noble Freewheeling and Dave Gorman’s Modern Life Is Goodish, both due to air soon.
