Pat Cash to appear in remake

Australia is to make its own version of Sky 1’s comedy sports quiz A League of Their Own.

Tennis legend Pat Cash and swimmer Eamon Sullivan have signed up to be team captains on the Channel 10 version, which will be hosted by comedian Tommy Little.

Little joked: ‘It's exciting to finally see the three titans of Australian sport come together to make a show: Pat Cash has his Wimbledon title, Eamon Sullivan has all his Olympic medals and myself with a fourth place ribbon from the year 9 inter-school sports.’

Network executive Beverley McGarvey added: ‘A League of Their Own is a smash in the UK and we are confident Australian families will embrace our version.’
