BBC comedy pilots go online
THE BBC has released its eight Comedy Feed pilots online, including shows by Nick Helm, Cariad Lloyd, Kerry Howard, Totally Tom and Elis James and Chris Corcoran. They can be viewed here.
CHORTLE received more than 250,000 visitors last month – the first time our audience has passed that milestone in our 13-year history. The newly redesigned website attracted 255,055 unique users in June, according to Google Analytics. The previous monthly peak was just under 198,000 in November 2011.
EXCLUSIVE: The Establishment Club – Keith Allen’s revival of Peter Cook’s Soho Club – is going to Latitude. Scott Capurro, Mark Steel, Terry Alderton, John Cooper Clarke and others will join Allen in the Literary Arena on the night of Sunday July 21.
BILL BAILEY has announced a one-off performance of his show Qualmpeddler at Wembley Arena on November 29. Tickets go on sale at 9am this Friday.
ROSEANNE BARR is set to make a return to sitcom. Several Hollywood news sources say she is close to striking a 10/90 deal with the NBC network to make a series of ten shows, which will be expanded for 90 more should they hit rating targets. The family comedy is so far untitled, but it will be a collaboration with h Nurse Jackie co-creator Linda Wallem.
