Pulling a fast one...
The line up for Chortle’s Fast Fringe showcase – featuring three-minute snippets of 28 acts heading to Edinburgh this August – has been unveiled.
Stephen K Amos will compere the packed programme, which takes place at London’s Leicester Square Theatre on July 6.
The line-up features two if.comedy award winners – Brendon Burns and Phil Nichol – as well as best newcomer nominees Mike Wozniak, Zoe Lyons and Luke Toulson.
Music acts also feature, including Jonathan Ross’s house band, Four Poofs And A Piano, as well as Ginger & Black, comedy rapper Doc Brown and cabaret favourites Bourgeois & Maurice and Lady Carol.
Sketch and variety comes from The Grandees, Two Left Hands, Piff The Magic Dragon and impressionist Anil Desai.
But stand-up forms the bulk of the bill, with a line-up that boasts: Rob Rouse, Lloyd Langford, Jason Cook, Carl Donnellym Michael Fabbri, Stephen Carlin, Mark Walker, Geoff Norcott, Isma Almas, George Ryegold, Pete Johansson , Seann Walsh, Chris McCausland and Tiernan Douieb.
