Shuttleworth animation up for award

An animated film based around a John Shuttleworth routine is up for a prestigious international film festival award.

Unaccompanied Lady is a cartoon version of The Shuttleworths, the late-night series Graham Fellows created for Radio 4.

The four-minute short was shown to audiences on Shuttleworth’s recent Fawn Again tour – and has now landed a spot at the Cineanima festival of animation.

And it has been nominated in the international competition at the event, which runs from November 7 to 13, in Espinho, Portugal .

Unaccompanied Lady was animated by Bafta winner and Oscar nominee Kevin Baldwin, whose recent work includes BBC Three’s Monkey Dust.
