Hancock joins mortgage firm

They Think It's All Over host Nick Hancock has embarked on a new career – with a mortgage broker.

The news comes after it was announced that the comic would be replaced on the BBC sports quiz by stand-up Lee Mack.

He will join Earth Mortgages as marketing director next month.

The company, based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, was set up by two of his friends, Mick Worthington and Darren Millington, three years ago and employs 200 people.

Hancock’s job will be to oversee the company’s advertising, which currently features one-time It’s A Knockout presenter Stuart Hall

‘Many people have just one career,’ he said. ‘I'm lucky - I continue to be active in television and comedy but now I'm also getting down to business’

Former Cambridge Footlighter Hancock has fronted They Think It's All Over for ten years.
