Dental as anything
Men Behaving Badly creator Simon Nye has written an ITV1 comedy drama about a love affair between a prison officer and a dental assistant.
Open Wide, a one-off 90-minute show, will star Alexander Armstrong, pictured, Nigel Havers and Cutting It’s Angela Griffin.
It is the first new ITV1 comedy for Nye since Hardware, starring The Office’s Martin Freeman.
ITV comedy controller Sioned Wiliam, who commissioned the show, told MediaGuardian: ‘Simon's script is glorious and I'm delighted to be working with Alexander again as he's such a brilliant comedian.’
Nye and Armstrong previously collaborated on BBC1 sitcom Beast, about a rural vet.
