When lawyer Bob was mugged by a client

Bob Mortimer has told how he was once mugged by one of his legal clients.

The 42-year-old comic, who was a solicitor until he met Vic Reeves, told Channel 4's Richard and Judy how he came face-to-face with the armed crook on a night out in South London.

"I'd got him off loads of times," Bob said.

"One night I was with my friends, going to a club. Then suddenly I'm not with anyone, and there's a knife.

But luckily the mugger recognised him. "He said, 'Oh, hello Mr Mortimer' and left. I didn't represent him after than."
