John Bishop announces 25th anniversary arena tour

With all tickets £25 too

John Bishop has announced an arena tour to make his 25 years in comedy – with all tickets costing £25.

On October 2, 2000, Bishop – who was at the time working in the pharmaceutical industry – stepped onto the stage at the Frog and Bucket in Manchester to perform his first comedy gig in front of just a handful people, which changed his life forever.

And the new tour includes intimate return show at the venue, on  October 13 next year.

Bishop said: 'I can't believe that next year it will be 25 years since I first performed.  It's been a rollercoaster!

‘And I can't thank the fans enough who have supported me all the way.  I wanted to mark the anniversary with a brand-new tour and do something to say thank you – so every ticket throughout the tour will be £25.  I really hope you can come and celebrate with me.’

The tickets go on sale from 10am on Friday, and will have booking fees on top of the £25 (€25 in Dublin)

The tour kicks off on October 2 next year at the Plymouth Pavilions and  culminates in Belfast on November 1.

It comes hot on the heels of his current tour – Back At It - which culminates at the London Palladium in April.
