Trailer for Steve Coogan in The Penguin Lessons

Based on a true story...

Here’s the trailer for The Penguin Lessons - a new comedy-drama starring Steve Coogan as a man who adopts one of the seabirds.

It is based on Tom Michell’s 2015 memoirs from his time teaching in a prestigious Argentine boarding school in the years following the collapse of the corrupt Perónist regime.

When he rescues the penguin, Juan Salvador, from an oil slick in Uruguay, the bird refuses to leave Tom's side and he smuggles it across the border and back to school.

Michell wrote the screenplay with Coogan’s long-erm collaborator Jeff Pope, and the  film is being made by Peter Cattaneo who previously directed Military Wives,

It debuts across the UK and Ireland on  April 18.
