Hullraisers series two trailer

Channel 4's Humberside comedy returns

Here’s a trailer for the second series of Channel 4 comedy Hullraisers, before it launches next month

Footage in the teaser shows Leah Brotherhead’s character Toni reacting badly to Perry Fitzpatrick’s Craig asking her to marry him, as believes marriage is ‘what boring people do’ while she thinks of herself as ‘young and wild and free’.

The comedy also stars Sinead Matthews as Paula, Taj Atwal as Rana and Shobna Gulati as Rana’s mum Nima. After Life’s Tom Bennett joins the cast for the new episodes, as the love interest for Gloria, as played by Felicity Montagu.

Channel 4 say that the characters ‘step into bright new chapters of their lives where everything will be different... (whilst they fight to keep everything exactly the same!)’

Executive producers Faye Ward and Hannah Farrell from Fable Pictures previously said: ‘We’re chuffed to bits to be heading back to Hull for more adventures by the Humber.

‘Our Hullraisers will be getting into bigger, wilder scrapes this time. We can’t wait to share what our brilliant writers are cooking up.’

The show was adapted from the Israeli hit show, Little Mom, by Lucy Beaumont and Anne-Marie O’Connor, whose credits include Trollied and Mum. O’Connor writes the scripts with Raised By Wolves’s Caroline Moran.

The second series of Hullraisers  starts on Thursday November 9 at 10pm.
