New ITV drama written by Lenny Henry

Here’s a trailer for Lenny Henry’s TV drama Three Little Birds, based on his mother's experiences of arriving in Britain from Jamaica in 1957.

Starring Rochelle Neil, Yazmin Belo and Saffron Coomber, the show launches at 8pm next Sunday on ITV1 and streaming service ITVX.

The broadcaster calls it ‘a triumphant celebration of immigration, community and the strength of Black womanhood inspired by the life-affirming stories of Sir Lenny Henry’s mother and all those who have travelled to make Britain their home’.
