Andy Zaltzman offers his take on Britain’s falling population and Buckingham Palace plans to hire a diversity chief in this TV sketch.
The stand-up is the UK correspondent for Australian satirical show The Weekly, and yesterday appeared on the programme to tell host Charlie Pickering about declining birth rates and the latest Royal moves.
He said the falling numbers of people in this country was a triumph for Brexiteers who wanted ‘to get the population back down to "glory days of Britain" levels when everybody had their own henge and we didn’t eat all that filthy complicated foreign food like potatoes and carrots’.
And the segment is notable for coining the phrase ‘kerplopping out’:
