New song from Pippa Evans

Musical comic Pippa Evans has written a song in praise of breakfast TV host Susanna Reid – and the way she responds to co-host Piers Morgan.

In the lyrics, Evans –who is also a member of improvised musical Showstoppers! – sings: 'Oh Piers Morgan doesn't know what to say but it don't stop him saying it anyway. If Susanna wants to chat,  he ain't having none of that, so she takes him down with eyes that hit like a baseball bat.'

The pair are currently on their summer holidays from Good Morning Britain, with Richard Madeley, Eamonn Holmes and Jeremy Kyle providing cover.

The Susanna Reid   song features in Evans's new Edinburgh Fringe show Joy Provision, which starts this week, and here's the  video she's made of it:

Evans is not the first comedian to pen an ode to a daytime telly idol. Vikki Stone's tribute to Phillip Schofield got her invited on to the This Morning sofa in 2012.
