Dawn French says she has regularly burned her boobs – by smuggling pasties into football matches.

The Vicar of Dibley star is a fan of her hometown club of Plymouth Argyle, who used to be sponsored by Ginsters.

But she preferred the pasties from local baker Ivor Dewdney. 

So the 66-year-old explained, in comments reported by The Sun: 'You get an Ivor Dewdney pasty, you stick it down your front and you smuggle it in.

'The amount of chest burns I've had from pasties secreted down the front bosoms! You've got to suffer it to half-time as it's got to stay warm.'

French's latest stand-up show, Dawn French Is a Huge Tw*t, is to be screened on BBC One at 10.30pm on December 28.
