...and how Paul Sinha remembered it

Maisie Adam has spoken about how she appeared on The Chase as a student – and did so badly Paul Sinha still remembered it when they ran into each other on the comedy circuit.

Adam took part in the show in 2016, and took a negative £3,000 offer when it came to going head-to-head with Sinner.

Speaking to the Express today, she admitted: ‘I did so badly that I took the lower offer and still didn't make it home

‘Fast forward years later and I've started doing stand-up and I got booked on a gig with Paul in Redhill. 

"I turned up being like "There's no way he'll remember" and I thought "I won't bring it up". But he brought it up with me. He was like, "We've worked together before, haven’t we?’"

"And I went, "Well, not on a gig.".

Turns out he remembered her appearance on the ITV quiz and told her: ‘Not many people do that badly.’

‘I was mortified,’ she added.
