Romesh's stunt lands Jamie Redknapp in hospital
Footie pundit breaks his wrist
Jamie Redknapp has fractured his wrist – after Romesh Ranganathan dropped a football on him.
The former England midfielder was taken to hospital after a stunt they were attempting for Sky One panel show A League Of Their Own went wrong on Saturday.
The pair were apparently attempting to break a world record when Ranganathan dropped a ball 120ft from a crane.
A source told The Sun – a sister outlet to Sky – that ‘Jamie put his right arm up to protect his head but the ball came down at such a pace, it caused Jamie a lot of pain’.
The pundit reportedly continued with the show before going to hospital, where he was diagnosed with a broken scaphoid bone. He is expected to film the rest of the series in a cast.
