Sky News man can't disguise his contempt for comedians...

Is this the worst introduction a comedian has ever had on screen?

When stand-up Tom Lucy appeared on Sky News yesterday to talk about his run of gigs at the Soho Theatre this weekend, he might have expected an easy ride.

Instead Sunrise presenter Stephen Dixon decided to preface the interview with a little editorialising about how comedians were rarely funny

'So you think you're funny? Well you're probably not,' he told viewers.

Warming to his theme, he added: 'It's true, though, isn't it? Everyone who thinks they are a comedian is normally rubbish.'

Dixon, incidentally, is also a poet and released a collection called Love is the Beauty of the Soul earlier this year.
