Newcastle’s Discovery Museum hosts its first stand-up gig

'It's a fabulous space'

Newcastle’s Discovery Museum is hosting its first ever  comedy night in its impressive Great Hall, built in 1899.

Steam to Grin, on February 28, will feature stand-ups Bethany Black, Cal Halbert and Chris Kehoe with compere Si Beckwith.

Kylea Little, keeper of history at the museum, said: ‘The Great Hall is a fabulous space to hold an event like this.

‘We want our adult visitors to kick back, have fun and maybe become inspired along the way – and most importantly – laugh!

Beckwith who is also producing the gig, added: ‘The Discovery Museum holds a special place in my heart, and is home to some wonderfully accessible history and innovation. We’ll all be bringing something bespoke to the night, to make this a one-off show that you do not want to miss.’

Tckets cost £12 and can be booked here
