Veteran comedy actress Diane Langton has died at the age of 77.

Her first credited role was as a schoolgirl in the 1959’s ilm Carry On Teacher and between 1985 and 1986, she appeared in Only Fools and Horses as June Snell, a former girlfriend of Del Boy.

But one of her biggest roles was as  as Kathy Roberts in Seventies sitcom The Rag Trade

Other comedy credits include Joking Apart, The Les Dennis Laughter Show and Alas Smith and Jones.

She also appeared in EastEnders as Cindy Beale's mother, Bev Williams and Nana McQueen on Hollyoaks, with her last appearances airing in December.

Langton's agent Shane Collins said: ‘Diane had a rich and remarkable career appearing on stage, in films, and on television, including playing the iconic Nana McQueen in Hollyoaks from 2007 to the present day’, before going on to list her sizeable theatrical credits.
