At the age of 81

Eric Idle is going on a US comedy tour this autumn, entitled Always Look on the Bright Side of Life Live!

The show will reportedly feature ‘never-before-seen sketches, original songs, jokes, the humorous wisdom that comes with being a living legend, and exactly one fart joke’.

The 81-year-old ex- Python says of the tour, ‘Unfortunately, I can’t find the exit. My role in life seems to be cheering people up.’

It kicks off on September 4 in Santa Barbara, California, and plays a total of 12 days on the West Coast, wrapping up in San Diego on September 27.
