Sophie Willan and Liz Carr also now on the line-up

Sara Pascoe, Sophie Willan and Liz Carr have joined the line-up for this month’s Wow Manchester festival.

Pascoe will join Wow – Women of the World – founder  Jude Kelly on Saturday May 25 for an evening of conversation and readings from her debut novel Weirdo.

While Alma’s Not Normal creator Sophie Willan and comedian turned actress and disability activist Liz Carr also join the Saturday line-up to discuss the challenges and triumphs of being women on TV and why representation matters.

The event takes place at Aviva Studios from May 24 to 26 and also features previously announced headliners Melanie Brown, the former Spice Girl, in conversation with writer Louise Gannon  and musician Jordan Stephens in conversation with broadcaster Miquita Oliver.

It describes itself as ‘the world’s biggest, most comprehensive festival celebrating women, girls and non-binary people’.
