Chris Fleming announces four UK dates

Short debut tour for US comedian

American stand-up Chris Fleming – previously named one of Variety’s Ten Comics to Watch and with more than 80 million views YouTube channel – has announced what’s billed as his first UK tour.

He will be playing just four dates: Glasgow’s Glee on June 19, Brighton Corn Exchange on June 22, Manchester’s Frog and Bucket on June 25 and London’s Leicester Square Theatre on June 28.

However it is not his first visit to Britain as the absurdist comic has previously played the Soho Theatre in London.

In his online comedy series Gayle, he played a hyper-competitive woman fumbling her way up a self-imposed suburban social ladder.

Vulture described his live act as ‘equal parts imagination and inferiority complex, a combination that has led him to create some of the most bizarrely funny performance art taking place online and onstage today’ while Chortle has said: ‘You can’t take your eyes off this unpredictable, exciting performer.’

Tickets for the new dates go on sale at 10am on Thursday.
