Female Pilot Club announces its 2024 winners

Comedy scripts will now be read by pros at a public event

Two new comedy scripts are to be read by professional performers after winning this year’s Female Pilot Club Script Call

Student Debt by Luna Al-kaisy and Neurotic Queers by Sarah Campbell were chosen from 160 scripts submitted by female writers.

It has not been announced who will perform the scripts, but previous winners have been read by the likes of  Louise Brealey, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Robert Webb, Arabella Weir and Sarah Hadland.

This year’s winners will be performed on March 26 at JW3 London. Tickets are now available on the JW3 website.

The competition is sponsored byYellow Door Productions and Imagine Talent and the judges were writer Georgia Pritchett, comuc Athena Kugblenu, producer Lucy Lumsden and former Radio 4 comedy chief Sioned Wiliam.

Female Pilot Club has been running such script calls since 2019.
