Greeters' Guild comic to play LA festival

Troy Hawke has been added to the line-up of the Netflix is a Joke Festival in Los Angeles.

The well-mannered alter-ego of Milo McCabe will be at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre on May 2.

The news comes as Hawke kicks off a 40-date UK tour entitled The Greeters Guild, on Thursday (Troy ​Hawke tour dates)

Hawke has become something of a social media sensation with videos of him doling out compliments in the street – a series which started with ‘a non-consensual customer service shift’ outside TK Maxx in Macclesfield two years ago.

Netflix is a Joke Fest runs from May 2 to 12 and features more than 300 shows, including appearances from the likes of Chris Rock, Ali Wong Jon Stewart, David Letterman and, Matt Rife as well as Brtis Jimmy Carr, Katherine Ryan, Brett Goldstein, Fern Brady and Mo Gilligan.
